Sexual Identity

A person’s self-identity is based on their understanding of and/or ability to express their sexual orientation and/or gender identity outwardly. Sexual identity evolves through a developmental process that varies depending on the individual. Issues such as religion, culture, one’s family values, etc., may impact a person’s sexual identity. No one else can determine what a person’s sexual identity is; only the individual can decide what identity is right for them. 

It’s something more solid. It’s something more defined—perhaps a narrower framework. More specific, actually. You could say there’s not so much the notion of fluidity within the term because it is what it is.”
